New life
After less than nine months of pregnancy, the female gorilla gives birth to a small and fragile baby. This toddler, weighing less than 2 kg, rests after feeding in the strong arms of its mother. It was born into the Nshongi family and is probably the 1,004th individual of the mountain gorillas world population (according to info provided by National Park guides).
